One of my youngest student’s shirt says it all doesn’t it? Please, look out for each other. #bekind and make it a #shabbatshalom ❤️
For the first time since last March, I’m getting ready to lead a Friday night #shabbat service in our sanctuary @ramatshalomsynagogue 😀❤️😀 Blessed are You, Adonai our God, Sovereign of all, who has gotten us to this moment. Can’t wait to see folks in person really soon. Don’t worry, we will still be on Zoom! Click link in bio to join us. #shabbatshalom
“In the first month, from the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month at evening.” (#exodus 12:18) The sun has set on the twenty-first day of the Jewish month of Nisan! As #passover ends in Israel and many Jewish communities across the globe, it’s pizza time!!!!! (Conservative and Orthodox communities outside of Israel will end Passover tomorrow night. Reconstructionist and Reform communities outside of Israel follow the Israeli calendar and end tonight.)
When they teach the #rabbi and the #cantor all about the fancy technology in the sanctuary, it must be a sign that in person services are about to resume! We’re looking forward to welcoming a small group of folks for Shabbat beginning next week, Friday, April 9!!! Thanks to the fancy technology, online services will not stop! #shabbatshalom
Wait until you experience Ethan, Ezra and Elijah’s rendition of the Four Questions during our Main Seder, Saturday night beginning at 6:30pm on YouTube! (Click link in bio!) Remember, while the Main Seder starts at 6:30, you can watch any time after that. Our Young Family Seder begins at 5:30pm on our YouTube Channel as well - you can also watch any time after 5:30pm. Wishing everyone a #shabbatshalom and a #chagsameach #happypassover
Meet 13-year-old Foli. We will introduce you to this remarkable young man during @ramatshalomsynagogue #passoverseder - this Saturday at 6:30pm on our YouTube Channel (link in bio). We will also introduce you to Foli's incredible friends, Godson and Gideon. All three of them were recently rescued from slavery in Ghana.Their story reminds us that slavery still exists and pushes us to ask ourselves: What will we do about it? Join us at 6:30pm Saturday. Special thanks to @ijm for rescuing Foli and his friends and for giving us permission to share this story during #passover ✡️ IJM’s commitment to ending slavery is a reminder that the desire for #freedom knows no religious boundaries. ❤️
